Library Zones
The Library is divided into zones for different types of study. Follow the signs to find the zone you need.Group Zone
This is for working with others in groups. Use this zone to discuss work, plan a project, and share ideas. Please keep discussion low so as not to interfere with the work of other groups.
Quiet Zone
You may whisper to discuss work with another person. Please keep your conversations whispered and brief to avoid disturbing others.
Silent Zone
This is set aside for individual silent study. There is no conversation allowed. There are no ifs, no buts, no talking! Please help us keep this zone silent by letting us know if anyone is talking.
Mobile Phones
Please keep your mobile phone on silent. You can take or make calls in the designated areas only, but nowhere else.
Food and drink
You are not allowed to take food into the library for reasons of hygiene and smell. You can take non-alcoholic drinks in, but they must be in lidded containers to avoid smell and spills. If you do spill a drink accidentally, please report it promptly to a member of library staff.
