Using Other Libraries

Sconul Access
SCONUL Access is a co-operative venture between most of the higher education libraries of the UK and Ireland. It enables staff, research students, full time postgraduates and part-time, distance learning and placement students to borrow material from other libraries. Reference only access is available for full-time undergraduates. Apply Online via the SCONUL website. Borrowing entitlements will vary from institution to institution.

Sconul Vacation Access Scheme
Under the above scheme, you may use your local University's library during its vacation weeks, free of charge, if it is a member of the Society of College, National and University Libraries (SCONUL). You will not be able to borrow, or use electronic sources of information, but can freely use it for reference. You will need your Anglia Ruskin University ID card, and possibly further documentation, so check with the institution before you go. You should also check their vacation dates, and opening hours, as they may not be the same as ours.
