What are online resources and what is the Digital Library?
Online resources give you:-
  • E-books - these can be read online
  • e-journals - you can search for specific articles or browse a particular issue internet gateways - provide a list of websites on a particular subject which have been vetted for academic use
  • databases - which help you find journal articles, conference papers, book reviews and up-to-date details on new developments and research, in your subject area


All these can be accessed from the University Library website through the Digital Library



How do I access the Digital Library?
The Digital Library can be accessed from the University Library Home page, you need to first, Login to the Library.



Where do I find resources for my subject?
The Digital Library is the main gateway to subject collections. Once you have logged in to the Library check the Journal articles, research papers box on the front page of the website and type your search term into the box above it. For more detailed subject searching click the Advanced button on the front page of the website and select your subject from the drop down list. Information is available through guides to resources in specific subjects as well as to individual databases.



Where do I look for journals?
Login to the Library and then click on Journal finder to locate a print journal or e-journal. You can search for a journal by the title or by words in the journal name.
To find if the University Library has a particular journal available as an e-journal, click on Find e-journals.



How do I find E-books?
Using the search box on the Quick Search screen, you can search by title, keyword or author for an E-book. You will need to Login to access the E-book.
