Accessing your files over the Internet

All Anglia Ruskin University students are able to access work which is saved onto the H: drive (My Documents) remotely off Campus. This is called FileStore.

About your new filestore
Two new drives have been added to the student filestore, additionally we have also enriched the content of the Shared O drive; this is where teaching staff share documents with their students.

Your additional new network drives are S: and T:

  • Controlled (S)- A secure area where staff and students with the appropriate rights can share documents.
  • Transit (T) - A temporary holding area open to all students and staff. This is ideal to share news about events and clubs, but should not be used for anything private or confidential or contravenes Anglia Ruskin University’s copyright policies. Documents will be deleted after one month from this area.

  • Please be aware the University will take necessary steps if illegal or unsavoury items or saved to this area.

You will also continue to have access to:-

    • Student Home (H) - A secure storage area for your personal files and documents.
    • Shared (O) - A secure storage area for teaching staff to share documents and course materials with their students.
