Library Registration and your Library Login

As a student studying on an Anglia Ruskin course at a partner college you are automatically registered to use the University Library at Anglia Ruskin on taking up your course. Staff who wish to join must visit an Anglia Ruskin campus library for registration and provide proof of address and ID including College membership card. Library membership rights for staff are limited.

All students need to use a Library Login to use library services including digital library resources. A Library Login consists of a library barcode number and PIN.

  • Your Library Barcode Number

Your 14-digit library barcode number is printed on the front of your Anglia Ruskin Student ID card.

As a backup your library barcode number is also displayed on Anglia Ruskin University's administrative portal "E-Vision" - you'll need your Anglia Ruskin University student ID no. (SID) to login to check this.

  • Your PIN

Unless you agreed a different PIN on joining the library or have subsequently changed it, your PIN is derived from the day and month of your date of birth. So, if your DOB is 17 August 1966 your PIN will be 1708. You can change your PIN at any time by logging in to the Library Catalogue and selecting the "My Library Account".
If you are unsure about your library barcode number and PIN and need assistance please contact us as indicated below. If you experience problems in accessing any of our digital information services via our website please contact: login@libweb.anglia.ac.uk

Electronic information services

Our website provides access to over 220 information databases, over 10,000 electronic journals and newspapers, E-books and Internet subject gateways (also known as portals or hubs); along with Internet searching tutorials designed for use by Higher Education students and staff. Please use the "Resources" links on the website directory listing.

The catalogue contains details of all material, including journals, held in the University Library.
