Information Skills

Information Skills
  • Overwhelmed with researching your assignments?
  • Confused by your reading list?
  • Worried about referencing?

If you answer yes to any of these questions then you probably need to improve your information skills.

Information skills will help you to effectively plan your literature searches as well as organise and evaluate the information resources that you use.

Pilot
Pilot is an interactive learning tool designed to teach you the main information skills you need to know. You can work through the six Pilot modules step by step, or you can pick and choose the bits that you think you will find the most helpful.

You can also access a full list of activities, exercises, demonstrations and animations.

We also have New referencing podcasts and other activities to try.

Take the Pilot Quiz to highlight areas you might need to improve on, or take it after your Pilot training to confirm and consolidate your learning.

Please help us to improve and update Pilot by giving us your feedback.
