Booking a Study Room
The University Library provides study rooms for group work or individual study - book via the Library website.
There are multiple rooms at each of the main sites with small rooms for 4-6, and some larger rooms for up to 20 people (Cambridge only).
Check the room’s description whilst booking for the size and facilities provided in that individual room.
Booking Conditions:
- You can book a Study Room for 1 session per day, up to 2 weeks in advance, on the Library website.
- If you have not pre-booked, you may use any vacant room but will be required to vacate it promptly in favour of a reader with a booking.
- You can book a vacant room for immediate use if there is no prior booking for the current period.
- Rooms are only bookable during staffed hours - at other times they are available on a first-come-first-served basis.
- Click on Book a Study Room.
- Click on a Room to select it, then click Booking on the next screen. If you are not logged then you will be prompted to login (library barcode number and password) then the booking periods will open up.
- Periods marked Request 0/1 are available – click to select.
- A booking is valid throughout the booked period.
- To check on your bookings, go to My Account and click on Booking Requests.
- To delete a booking, in My Account click on Booking Requests. Click on the underlined number of the booking then click on the Delete button.
- Some rooms have whiteboards, but we do not provide markers.
- Some rooms contain PCs, OHP, video or DVD playback equipment – check the description for a selected room on the website before booking if you require this.
