Booking a Study Room
Student and staff members can book rooms at Cambridge or Chelmsford to study.Staff requiring a room for a tutorial should use the University room booking service.
Booking Conditions:
- Rooms are available on a first-come-first-served basis.
- You can book a Study Room for 1 two hour session per day, up to 2 weeks in advance, on the Library website.
- You may only have 6 sessions booked in any two-week period.
- If you have not booked, you may use any vacant room but will be required to vacate it promptly in favour of someone with a booking.
- You can book a room for immediate use if there is no prior booking for the current period.
Procedure:
- Click on Book a Study Room (you will need your University Username & Password).
- Then enter which campus, the date and time, your contact details and click on the Book Room button.
- Select the room from those available and click the Book Room button.
- You will have an acknowledgement and a booking reference.
- If there is a disagreement about a booking please see the Library Reception or Enquiries desks.

To cancel a booking click on the link in the confirmation email and click Delete Booking. To check what you have booked please follow the link in your confirmation email.
Equipment:
- Some rooms contain PCs, OHP, video or DVD playback equipment – check the description for a selected room on the website before booking if you require this.
- Some rooms have whiteboards, but we do not provide markers.
