Rain has delayed work and it is unlikely for work to move to the third floor roof before Christmas. Current area of work is replacing slates on the second floor computer suite and at the far end of the building nearer to the river. Let's hope for fine weather for a while so they can catch up.
The tops of the shelves on the third floor have been covered with polythene sheeting to protect library materials. The books remain available to use.
We may cordon off seating areas below the area being worked on during the day to avoid anyone being covered in grit.
There is no work being carried out at night, so the desks will be available to work at later each day.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
