Known Issues Workaround

Resource:
ReadingLists@Anglia and Bookmarking Ebrary items

Problem:
When bookmarking Ebrary items a URL is not being pulling through to the bookmark. Consequently, the book does not show as being available online from within the reading list.

Solution/Workaround:
You can manually add a permalink from library search to link to the ebook. To do this follow the below instructions:
Go to Library Search and locate the book you want to bookmark.
1. When you find the book click on the “Details” tab
2. Open the full details of the item by clicking on the “Open in a new window” icon
3. Click “Add to bookmarks” in your browsers toolbar (make sure your toolbar is open)
4. You may then be prompted to login, use your ARU staff username and password.
5. You will then see library search in the right hand side of the screen and the details of the item you are bookmarking on the left.
When you look at the eBook information on the left of the screen, it should have captured the web address.

If the web address has not been captured you can get it using the following method:
7. From the Library search window, previously opened, click on "Action" and then "Permalink"
8. Copy the url from the pop-up screen.
9. Go back to your bookmark and add a URL field using “Add field” - paste the Permalink in here. Make sure you tick “Online resource”.

When finished click on “Create”. This will add the book to your list of bookmarks.
Click on “Create and add to list” if you already have a list set up.
