Borrowing
Loan Periods - Items are only issued with an Anglia Ruskin ID card
- The standard loan period for library items is 3 week loan
- In-demand items may be set as 1 week loan
- Keep your receipt safe when you borrow items. This shows the dates when they are due for return
- High demand titles will have a 24 hour loan copy which is not renewable
- Short Loan Collection items may be collected from the counter and borrowed for 24 hours or less and are not renewable
- Reference items, and Journals, are for use in the Library only
- You cannot have books issued if you owe fines.
Courtesy Notices
The email service to remind you that you have items about to become overdue is a courtesy service only. It is the your responsibility to ensure that loans are renewed or returned on time. Due dates are shown on the receipts when items are first issued, and this information can be seen through the 'my account' section on the Library website. You can also contact the Library by phone during Library staffed hours.
Disability service
Library publications can be produced in various formats if required. Please contact Diane Hilton 0845 196 3764, or Judith Wells 0845 196 2312, or Penny King 0845 196 5393. Students can also obtain publications in a variety of formats from the Transcription Service, based in Ashby House, 0845 196 3715
Authorization for others to collect items and access personal information on your behalf
We need your written permission to allow others to collect loan items on your behalf, or to be given any information about your account with us including fines details. If you want to authorize a friend, parent or partner to collect items etc. due to any access problems you might have, please complete the form and return it to us. You can choose to do this for a certain time period only, if your access difficulties are temporary.
