Digitisation Service

The role of the Digitisation Service is to obtain an electronic version (pdf) of a book chapter or journal article that you want your students to read but which we only have in print or do not currently own. If we already provide access to an e-version, then this should be used and can be linked to from your Module Reading List.

The provision of photocopies and electronic copies is governed by the Copyright Licensing Agency (CLA) Higher Education Licence. This licence covers UK campus-based students and distance learners based in the UK and overseas (as reported on the annual HESA return). Students based at a partner institutions are not covered by our Licence and cannot be given access to Digitised extracts obtained under our Licence. To ensure compliance with this Licence all digital extracts should be requested via the Digitisation Service.

This Service is now an integrated feature of ReadingLists@Anglia. In order to request digital extracts of chapters or articles, you must have a Reading List for your module.

To request a digitised version, just create a bookmark for the item in your Reading List (you may wish to refer to the guide on Bookmarking (.pdf)), then click on "Request Digitisation" and complete the data requested.

Please refer to "Requesting Digitised Extracts" (.pdf) for further guidance or contact your Subject Librarian.
